STATE PROGRAM

Free Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening for Uninsured Women available  through Illinois Breast and Cervical Cancer Program (IBCCP)

Mission Green Light begins its operation by promoting the awareness of Illinois Breast & Cervical Cancer Program (IBCCP). This program is funded by U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Illinois Department of Public Health. The program aims to provide Free Breast & Cervical Cancer Screening to low-income, uninsured women in Illinois.

The U.S. Congress enacted the Breast & Cervical Cancer Prevention & Treatment Act in the year 2000. The Illinois General Assembly followed with similar enactment that became effective in July 2001.
