MISSION GREEN LIGHT'S FREE BREAST HEALTH EDUCATIONAL
INITIATIVE FOR YOUNG AND UNINSURED WOMEN

Mission Green Light's Free Breast Health Educational Initiative (BHEI) focuses on uninsured, underprivileged, and less-educated women of minorities between the ages of 18 and 34. Our objective is to nurture in these young women through education and awareness the habit of monthly breast self-examination for early detection of cancer. Also, we aim to develop in these young women the importance of taking responsibility for their own healthcare by living a healthier lifestyle.

Mission Green Light's Free Breast Health Educational Clinic
at the Mexican Consulate of Chicago.

Our Free Breast Health Educational Initiative (BHEI) is a very cost effective way of educating younger women in breast health. Our Doctors and Nurse Practitioners in a clinical environment provide clinical breast examinations, and at the same time educate these women as how to conduct a proper monthly
self-examinations. We also provide them with reading material about the early signs of breast cancer.

In certain cases, where futher investigations are required, we connect these women with the Illinois Breast & Cervical Cancer Program.

MISSION GREEN LIGHT'S FREE HEART SCREENING PROGRAM

Heart disease is the Number One killer of women in USA.
We believe that our heart screening program could serve as a wakeup call.

According to Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Cardiovascular Disease (Heart Disease) is the Number One Killer Disease in the United States. The more common forms of disease:

  • High Blood Pressure
  • Coronary Heart Disease    (the most common)
  • Stroke
  • Heart Failure

Without going into medical jargons, we all know that high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obesity, and diabetes are common risk factors for heart disease other than unhealthy lifestyle or habits. Our free service would provide:

  • Blood Pressure Readings,
  • Complete Lipid Profile (Cholesterol; HDL-C; LDL-C; Triglycerides).
  • Blood Sugar for Diabetes.
  • EKG, if needed.
  • Calculate your BMI.
  • Also, we provide material on living a healthy lifestyle.

Our testing program would give you a fair hint about your risk factors. We would provide you with the test results and its interpretation.
It would be totally your responsibility to consult your physician and to strive for a healthier lifestyle.
We would not assume any form of liability (due to human error, delay or otherwise) while providing this free service.
