Work Accomplished. In spite of meager resources, Mission Green Light has been able to accomplish the following tasks:
In 2007 Mission Green Light, as part of its operation, has been promoting the awareness of Illinois Breast & Cervical Cancer Program (IBCCP) that provides free cancer screening for low-income, uninsured women of Illinois. Mission Green Light has designed, printed, and posted over 600 posters (17”x22’) for the awareness of this free cancer screening program. The design of the poster was approved by the Illinois Department Public Health (IDPH). Mission Green Light has provided the funds for the printing and distribution of these posters from its own meager resources. We are grateful to the following organizations and individuals for their support in posting these posters: Chicago Labraries, Chicago Park Districts, Jewel Osco, State Representative Elaine Nekritz and Alderman Lesile Hairston Chicago's 5th Wards etc. We are trying our utmost to raise funds to support our free breast cancer clinics and start free heart screenings for the uninsured and underprivileged women of minorities.
Clinical Breast Examinations for 110 Women
Mission Green Light provided clinical breast examinations and training in self-examinations to 110 women of minorities from 27 suburbs of Chicago in collaboration with Luthern General Hospital, Park Ridge, Illinois.
